Jack
& Jill and The Showbags
The
Showbags were a Melbourne Drag Troupe formed in the
early 2000's. Performing regularly at Melbourne
Gay venues such as The Greyhound Hotel, PINK@The
Newmarket Hotel, The Xchange Hotel, and Templebar
Precinct, the troupe went on to become one of
Melbourne most popular.
Jack
and Jill worked along side the Showbags from 2004 until the
formation of Drags Aloud in 2007.
After
Jack and Jill initial season of 'The
Newbags', the girls were approached by Amanda
Monroe and Jessica James to be a part of a
'Summer" show they were putting together. After
a number of concept changes, the final result was The
Madonna Show, a tribute to everybody's favourite Pop
diva.
